The Thule-Gesellschaft (Thule Society) was founded August 17, 1918, by Rudolf Von Sebottendorff. He had been schooled in occultism, Islamic mysticism, alchemy, Rosicrucianism and much else, in Turkey, where he had also been initiated into Freemasonry. In the time prior to NAZI Germany; it is true that Thule Gesellschaft did exist as an Esoteric Study Society; that did in fact have influence in the fields of those who examined our philosophy in their own kindred minds, however Thule was also suppressed and persecuted like many other fraternal organizations by the vicious hands of Adolph Hitler, thus our membership suffered great losses of innocent life due to the rise of The Third Reich, Nazism was never attached to the vision of our founder Sebottendorf or any of our core values. As former victims of such NAZI oppression, we condemn Nazism and anything related to it's former beliefs or structure, and we forbid any antisemitism among our membership. And we state this because. To some, it is still a common misconception to this day, that Thule Gesellschaft had anything at all to do with NAZI Germany, when that is simply untrue, as we also suffered at the hands of NAZI oppression with the rest of all Europeans during that sad era in history, it's just a matter of pure recorded historical fact. Today you will find our current modern membership as diverse as it's ever been. Many different races and religions make up our leadership core and general membership roster, we are proud to call the good people of all nations, races & religions our brothers and sisters. |
